Mr. Roger J. Houseman's Obituary
Mr. Roger J. Houseman, Sr., age 72, passed away Sunday morning, October 13, 2013. He was born August 19, 1941 to Harold J. and Kitty (Isley) Houseman in Muskegon, and lived almost all of his life here. Mr. Houseman was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and had worked at Shaw Walker for over 30 years. He was a gentle spirited man who loved his wife of 53 years, children, and grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and bowler. He loved his dogs, hunting and fishing. On September 22, 1960 Roger married Norma Grayce Ryefield , and she survives him along with 3 children, Rhonda (Paul) DeMello of Charlotte, NC and their children Erin and Adam; Roger (Angela) Houseman II of S. Lyon, MI and their children Derek, John, Abreil, Raquel, Brennen, and Corbin; Kevin (Heather) Houseman of Hesperia and their children BJ, Jordan, Kaylee, Caleb, Conner, and Destiny; 1 brother, Harold (Sandy) Houseman of Wisconsin; 1 sister, Deb Fiedler of Muskegon; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. A celebration of Mr. Houseman’s life will be held Saturday, November 9, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the American Legion, 3408 Hoyt St., Muskegon, 49444.
