Mr. Roger N. Klett's Obituary
Mr. Roger Norman Klett, age 88, passed away early Friday morning, November 14, 2014. He was born August 25, 1926 in Muskegon to Russell and Eleanor (Tate) Klett. Roger was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated a Standard gas station in Whitehall for several years, but had retired as a Supervisor for Alcoa-Howmet after many years of employment. Roger loved gardening, yard work, and landscaping, and also enjoyed watching basketball and football, especially the Michigan Wolverines. Roger married the former Shirley Mikkelson in Muskegon and she preceded him in death in 2001. SURVIVORS include his son, Ronald (Angelina) Klett of Chattanooga, TN; 2 grandchildren: Cierra and Garrett Klett; and his sister, Sandy. Ron remembers his father as having a kind heart and for being very generous, and compassionate. He was also a great listener, mentor, friend, father, and confidant.
