Allison Burnett
Thirteen years ago, I had plans to produce a movie. My co-producer wanted to shoot it in his hometown of Frankenmuth, MI. Since I was visiting Muskegon with my family at the time, he suggested I come and see Frankmuth for myself. I mentioned it to my kids' great-uncle Roger, and he, ever open to adventure, volunteered to drive with me. We spent six hours in the car together that day, and we had one hell of a good time, Roger was endlessly curious about others, and, if you pushed a bit, would even open up about hmself. We became more than relatives by marriage that day; we became friends. One of the kindest, wisest, and most generous people I have ever known.
