Merkey family,
I am so saddened to read about the passing of your Dad. He and your Mom were such happy, cheerful people. Always seemed to have a smile for everybody. Your Mom always had a warm cup of coffee waiting for me when I came to pick Gary up for work (and he was ALWAYS late...LOL) Your Dad always managed to put a smile on MY face. He use to make me laugh when he stopped at Hradsky Bros. while driving that jeep that had a half barrel of beer canister as it's "fuel tank." No need for a fuel gauge, just pulled the hot dog stick that ran from the top of the barrel to the bottom. "Worked like a charm" he always said, "and didn't cost much either !"
Again, so sorry for your loss. If there's anything we can do for you please let us know.

Dear Merkey Family,
My deepest sympathy for your loss. Your parents were wonderful people. I always enjoyed my yearly visit with your Dad. He was so proud of all of you. I am going to miss our visits. He had a lot of wisdom and was fun to learn from. I know he will always be with you.##imported-begin##Peggy Rayner##imported-end##

Roger was one of the nicest people I have ever met. We spent many an hour talking over the years I have known him .. We had coffee once a month or so , for the last 20 years .He would come to my shop & always brought my favorite pastry with him ( he said it was in exchange for the cup of coffee)... He was a great friend & always interesting to talk to.
I am going to miss him terribly ...##imported-begin##Richard Kozal ##imported-end##

My sympathy to the family on your loss. I worked with Roger for many years in the switchroom at Verizon, then GTE. He was always in a good mood and quick to smile. I have often thought about him when I was visiting Muskegon, but never go a chance to visit.##imported-begin##Ric Holmes##imported-end##
