Roger L. Varney's Obituary
Mr. Roger Lewis Varney, age 66, passed away Thursday evening, July 8, 2004 at a local hospital. He was born August 26, 1937 to Donald and Gertrude (Veihl) Varney and lived his entire life in the Muskegon area. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Varney was the owner of Varney Mechanical Contracting for 23 years and previously had worked at Porter Steel and Welding. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Scott (Tina) Varney and Bradley (Cathy) Varney; 4 grandchildren, Tony, Andy, Paige, Brock; 2 brothers, Dallas (Lillian) Varney and Jerry Varney all of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews and many loving friends – you know who you are. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Duane Varney. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Kainay Church (3387 Heights Ravenna Rd.) with the Rev. Glen Maiden officiating. VISITATION with Mr. Varney’s family will be one hour prior to the service at church.
