Roger W. Zwart's Obituary
Mr. Roger W. Zwart, age 68, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006, at Spectrum Health Center in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born on September 27, 1937, in Muskegon to Peter and Hertha (Fethke) Zwart. Roger married Dorris Herman on March 26, 1960. He was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School and Business College. He served six years in the United States Navy aboard the destroyer Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. He was the owner of B&Z Auto Paint Store, Inc. for many years and later retired from Brunswick Corp. He was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church and of Fruitport Polar Bear VFW Post 3734. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling, but foremost, he enjoyed his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Raymond C. Sircher, and infant daughter, Kerri Lynn. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorris, two daughters Diane (Andrew) Graham of Castle Rock, CO and Debra (Daniel) Demerest of Saugatuck, MI; seven grandchildren, Kristin, Morgan, Hadley, Donovan, and Olivia Graham, Victoria and Caitlin Demerest; two sisters, Marlene Kane, Marilyn Preston; one brother, Gary Sircher. He is also survived by one special nephew, Richard (Sandra) Olson along with several nieces and nephews and many special hunting and fishing buddies. Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Forest Park Covenant Church, 3815 Henry Street, Muskegon, MI with Rev. Paul D. Bengtson officiating. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Monday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.
