Rollin Charles Davis' Obituary
Rollin Charles Davis, age 76, passed on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at his home in North Muskegon, MI surrounded by family. “Rollie”, as his friends and family call him, was born March 31st, 1948, to Gerald and Wanda Davis in Ashtabula, Ohio. The Davis family moved to Norton Shores, MI in 1955. He graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1966, and continued his education at Ferris State University, obtaining his bachelor's degree in computer science. Upon graduation, Rollie accepted a position with the State of Michigan and moved to the Lansing area. A decade later he began a diverse career path starting Precision Measurement Technologies, as well as working with Ford, General Motors and Alcoa (Howmet).
Rollie loved summers on his boat named “Obsession”. He and Kathy were members of Harbour Towne Yacht Club for many years. Rollie loved golf and enjoyed a game every Friday with his friends. He was an avid sports fan, he loved “Michigan State, Ohio State and any team that beat the U of M”. Rollie lived his life to the fullest and always had fun. He enjoyed traveling to many countries through work. He left countless friends behind with his passing, whom he met through boating, golfing, work, or any other way he could meet someone new.
Rollie is survived by his wife, Kathy; sisters, Jerilyn Hopper and Jocelyn (Mark) Anderson; incredible brother Jeff (Trish) Davis; children, Justin, Josh and Emily Davis; grandchildren, Joshua, Jackson, and Bruce Davis; his stepchildren, Alex Moore, Shaya (Danny) Trevino and their children Alya, Grace, and Garrett Trevino. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will take place on October 26, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Muskegon Country Club, 2801 Lakeshore Drive, Muskegon, MI 49441.
