Rollo R. Royle's Obituary
Mr. Rollo R. Royle, age 85, passed away Thursday, October 05, 2006. Mr. Royle was born May 7, 1921 to Clarence and Mildred (Scheiern) Royle in Hart. On August 16, 1941 he married Lodema Corlis and she preceded him in death on August 21, 1996. Rollo served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was employed as service manager at St. John’s Truck & Trailer Service for 20 years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Royle was a charter member of Parkside Alliance Church where he served so faithfully since 1945. He was a huge supporter of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Mr. Royle is SURVIVED by his 4 children, Rev. Rollo (Joan) Royle of Burkina Faso, West Africa, Thomas (Connie) Royle of Spring Lake, Fredrick (Shirley) Royle of Mound, MN and Debra (Russell) Royle Bassett of Rocky Mount, VA; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and 2 brothers, Clyde and Max Royle. Our dad, father and grandfather will be greatly missed and his impact on our lives will be forever remembered. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 10:00 AM Monday, October 9, 2006 at Parkside Alliance Church (1256 W. Broadway) with Pastor Don Kakavecos officiating. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM Monday. VISITATION will be 3-7 PM Sunday at Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
