Ronald Bush's Obituary
Ronald Conrad Bush, age 51, of Spring Lake (formerly Coopersville) went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2006, in Sarasota, FL. He was born April 7, 1954, to Howard M. and Eloise (Arnold) Bush in Grand Rapids, MI; and he married Karen A. Reenders October 13, 1984 in Grand Haven. Ron was a graduate of Coopersville High School and earned a bachelors degree from Grand Valley State University. Ron was a State Farm agent in Coopersville for many years, retiring in 1994. He moved to the Tri-Cities area from Coopersville in 1984 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven. He was a member of the Coopersville Lions Club, a youth director and former deacon at Church of the Saviour in Coopersville. Ron was an avid sports fan, enjoyed time with his family and traveling. Survivors include his wife Karen; their children: Kelly (Kevin) Joldersma and their children Oscar and Henry of Cary, NC; Joel R. (Delia) Bush and son Calvin of Walker; Jennifer (T.J.) Robertson and son Bridger of Salt Lake City, UT; and Jill (Brent Hazen) Tierman and daughter Sheyenne of Chippewa Lake, MI; his parents, Howard and Eloise Bush of Coopersville; in-laws Arnold and Wilma Reenders of Grand Haven; sister Karen (Gary) Rollenhagen of Coopersville; brothers Stanley (Lisa) Bush of Montague and Kenneth (Cathy) Bush of Coopersville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Janet Bush. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Karin Fowler officiating. Friends may meet the family 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorials to the Athletic Department at Coopersville High School or to a charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
