Ronald J. Dahlke Jr.'s Obituary
Ronald J Dahlke Jr, age 62, of Twin Lake, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 15, 1963, in Manistee, Michigan, the son of Ronald and Shirley (Hill) Dahlke Sr. During his childhood the family relocated to many different states in the Midwest due to his father's job in marine construction. In 1975, they settled into the family homestead in Twin Lake. Ron graduated from Holton High School in 1981 and began his career in marine construction, working alongside his father. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 324 and held positions as a crane operator, deckhand and tow crew while working for Canonie Offshore, Andrie Inc, Durocher Dock & Dredge and Kokosing Industrial. His job allowed him to be outdoors, which he loved, while working on the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, Port Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. Ron also worked installing cable, traveling the Midwest, which led him to Indianapolis in 1995, where he met the love of his life, Lisa Parks. They were married in Indianapolis on April 28, 2001, and started their life together there. In 2002, they moved back to Michigan, where they started their family and raised their two sons on the family homestead. Together they cherished 28 years full of love and laughter. Everyone who knew Ron understood that Lisa was his world, and his two boys were his everything. He loved being a dad and spending time with them. He enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycling, dirt biking, snowmobiling, gardening, working on cars and taking care of the yard, with his 2 dogs, Jack and Rocky. He cherished the moments spent with his family and friends. Ron will be deeply missed by the many that had the pleasure of knowing and loving him as a friend, husband, father, son, brother, uncle and father figure. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; two sons Ronald III and Joseph; siblings, Noreen (Patrick) Colwell, Jillayne (Robert) Peterson and John Dahlke; mother-in-law Laura Parks; sisters-in-law, Michelle Elmore, Shelonda Stovall and Marian Parks; brother-in-law, Ronald Parks Jr; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his and Lisa’s twin daughters, Hope and Faith; his parents, Ron and Shirley; his sister-in-law, Cindy Dahlke; and his father-in-law, Ronald Parks. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
