If there was a picture of a good man in the dictionary it would be of Ron Helton. We were blessed to know him in and out of the hockey arenas and for many years after that. His smile, kind heart, humor and willingness to help will be missed till we see him again. Love, hugs and prayers for the family
We will always hold dear the memories we have of Ron. His quick wit, easy-going nature, and generous heart were qualities that made him a special man. Playing alongside Ron in men’s hockey, softball, and church activities, are remembrances that 35 years later remains strong. Ron’s team spirit and sense of unity were admired and exemplary to those who knew him. Ron’s motto was to, “keep your stick on the ice” which had many meanings to him; the most significant was to maintain the “goal” of keeping Jesus Christ at the center of all we do. I remember his delicious peanut brittle but more importantly, I remember Ron as a gentle and caring man who was devoted to his family and friends. He gave Karen a rose each year on her birthday. What a Dad! He will be missed.
You couldn’t meet a nicer man,, took me fishing and hunting and treated me like a son, so glad I got to see him last year and wished I would’ve made it down this year . he will be missed !!
Sure loved that man. He couldn't be more helpful, generous. When we were in Michigan. We Sure enjoyed dinners and dominoes at their home and ours. Sure miss those times.
