Strange how events happen. My hubby was the 1 st. of the three musketeers, Marty, Ron & Mark to receive a cancer diagnoise. A couple months later, my bro in law Marty found out he had cancer. I, trying to lighten the mood, told Mark & Marty, when u tell Ron, tell him the cancers you two have is contagious, because they were always sharing cigs. So they did on one of their golf outings. Little did we know, that at that time Ron unknown to him, had cancer too.Marty died a month after his diagnoise, which Ron was there for Marty helping Mart & the rest of us with Marty's end days care. He also followed thru on Marty's request to him, help my widow Lori get thru the early months W/o me. Ron & Lori both loved yard sales. So that summer Ron was there helping my sister to get thru the summer. She told me, she does not know what shape she would have been in, if not for Ron. The following early summer of 2017, we found out Ron had cancer. Mark was getting treatment for his 2nd bout of cancer . We got back on track with Ron, and we did some Harley rides, started eating some meals together. When Ron was no longer able to get out, we would take some meals to him. Marty & Ron were my earth Angels that were making sure no one did me wrong. I am still grateful for them both standing up and helping me during my hard times & cheering me up during my medical madness. Thru the passing of Marty, Ron surprised many that was watching him as he tenderly cared for his buddy Mart so attentively. Many never saw this side of Ron, but I am a witness to say, he could be so in, gentle and low keyed in a way that has left a piece of my heart that will always treasure bring able to be a part of Ron's life. We saw him last Tuesday, and he told us, he was not going to be here for Christmas. Mark & I knew that too. RIP RON. We will meet again on a happier note. Loved & missed. Carol Moyer
