Nancy and family, I just learned of Ron's passing in a letter from Anne. My deepest regrets and sympathy to you and your family. I am not the prolific writer that Ron was, but I can say, he was simply the finest man I have ever known. I've spent the last several days remembering the good times we all had. I would see Mr. Kasher at church on Sundays and at MHS M-F. I always felt he went out of his way to say hi "just to me" when passing in the hall at school. At least that's the way I like to remember it. :)

My thoughts and prayers are with the Kasher family. I have several memories of Sunday School, Choir, etc. with Cheryl and Ann. My best to you all.

I met Mr. Kasher a few times while going to college with his son Mike. He was always a cheerful guy and we had some great conversations about schooling. I think that's what I remember most about him is how easy he was to talk to. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Ronald Kasher Family and Friends; and those who were blessed to have known Ronald Kasher as a man of integrity and respect I am sending my sincerest condolences and also am praying that over the next few days, months, and years ahead that nobody will ever lose their memories of someone that made a difference in various students lives that were impacted by Mister Kasher as an Assistant Principle at Muskegon high School. I know that some of the students that I went to Muskegon High School from 1982 to 1985 would say from appearances' that this man was grouchy or mean; I never once thought that this man was mean or ornery just thought when I saw him out in the hallways of Muskegon High School that he was just doing his job and he earned my respect as a student and I have carried that respect for others my entire adult life.

First time I met the Kasher family was in august 1975 when I arrived as a little bit confused 18 year old swedish exchange student to Muskegon.
Very quickly I was adopted into the family as their swedish son & brother.
Everything was new to me but Ron with an angels patience helped me out what to study at Mona Shores and with my big interest hockey, fixed equipment etc.
I made it to the hockeyteam of Mona Shores and Ron, being the coach of Muskegon High hockey team, meant long and intensive discussion every time the teams met.
Throughout the 6 months I stayed with the Kasher family, Ron & his family was always there for me, whenever I needed it and they became and still are my "american" family.
Last time I met with Ron and his family was in June 2016 when my wife AnnaKarin & I visited Muskegon for the 40th reunion from highschool (se attached photo).
This last meeting meant so much to me because then Ron and his family had met both my daughters and wife, my whole family.
Ron and his family are having and will always have a very special place in my hart.

Mr. Kasher was always interested in what you had to say or about what was going on in your life. He didn't demand respect, yet was respected by all. I remember him fondly when visiting Mike and also when he umpired for many of our softball games. I am so sorry for your loss!
