Ronald Glenn Kieft's Obituary
Ronald Glenn Kieft, age 85, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Fountain View Assisted Living in Coopersville. He was born January 21, 1939, in Grand Haven to Ronald Kenneth and Glendora (Rosema) Kieft. He married Lenore May Hoekstra on September 10, 1965, in Detroit, MI.
Ron graduated from Western Michigan Christian High School. He worked at Michigan Gas Utilities starting out as a meter reader and ending his career as a fitter operator, retiring at the age of 69. He attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grand Haven. He enjoyed fishing, camping, but his real love was setting up and repairing computers.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lenore Kieft; two sons, Jonathan Kieft and Jeffrey (Brenda) Kieft; four grandchildren: Madison Kieft, Trevor Kieft, Tayler Kieft and Lauryn Kieft; his sister, Janice (Peter) Vander Kolk; his brother, Larry (Susan) Kieft; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Kieft.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23,2024, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417 with Pastor Aaron Vergin officiating. Friends may meet the family from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
