Ronald J. LaCrosse's Obituary
Mr. Ronald LaCrosse, age 75, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 following a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on December 23, 1946 to Clement and Florence (Prevost) LaCrosse in Traverse City. Ron worked at Ace Tooling Inc as a machinist for 38 years before retiring in 2015. He served his country during the Vietnam Conflict while in the United States Army National Guard. Ron married the former Sharon Stream on July 23, 1983 and together they shared 38 wonderful years. Ron enjoyed going to the casinos but preferred to spend as much time as he could outdoors. Ron and his family took many camping trips around Lake Leelanau Park and created many memories hunting with the same group of friends for 53 years. Above all, Ron was a devoted husband, caring father and most importantly a loving and proud Grandpa to his precious grandson, Grady. Ron will be greatly missed by his wife, Sharon; children, Stacy LaCrosse and Kevin (Kelly) LaCrosse; grandson, Grady; sister-in-law, Pat LaCrosse; and one niece and nephew and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement LaCrosse and Florence Baushke; and brother, Ray LaCrosse. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 16 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Military Honors will be rendered at 7:30PM. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice in Ron’s memory. Please feel free to visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
