Mr. Ronald Lee Lockhart Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Ronald “Ron” Lee Lockhart Sr., age 71, of Fruitport Township, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Ron was born on January 18, 1946, in Muskegon to Edward and Mildred (Withrow) Lockhart. He married the former Joann E. Young of Muskegon in September 11, 1965. Ron and Joann are members of Spring Lake Presbyterian Church. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his family. He was the owner and operator of Leizure World; Ron had a strong work ethic and treated his customers like family. He is survived by his wife, Joann, his daughter; Angel (Daniel) Ball, his son; Ronald Jr. (Fabrianne) Lockhart; grandchildren, Lauren, Lyndsey, Lydia, and Travis Ball; brothers, Donald and Robin (Andrea) Lockhart; sisters, Beverly Lavetu, Linda (John) Hoffman, Hope Lockhart; in-laws, Lloyd and Mary Jenkins, and Dale and Elizabeth Jenkins; and dear friends Dennis (Pam) White. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 12, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100, with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 11, 2017, from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM). Burial will be made in Cato cemetery in Lakeview, MI. Memorial Contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice.
