I remember trying his "Christmas pickles" for the first time and asking him for the recipe. The next day when I got home from work, sitting on my kitchen counter, was the recipe and all of the ingredients to make my own!
Another time, he had found some fresh cherries at one of those Roadside fruit stands and bought a bag to share with everyone. We all loved them and asked where he had gotten them. He supposedly didn't remember. Oddly enough, the next day, here comes Ron with a bag of cherries for us.
He always gave more than he took and loved seeing others happy and would do anything for anyone. I will always remember him for his generousity, unselfishness, and incredible sense of humor. That man could make us laugh until we cried, and did, on many, many occasions.
Thank you Teri and Steve for sharing your dad with us. Craig and I have been blessed to have him in our lives for as long as we did.
Rest peacfully, dear friend, you are loved and will forever be missed. Craig & Gerri
