Mr. Ronald T. "Ron" Nas' Obituary
Mr. Ronald T. Nas, age 72, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Alabama. He was born August 5, 1939 in Muskegon to Charles and Theresa (Knoll) Nas. Ron was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam and was a life-member of the VFW Post #446. He worked for Sealed Power Corporation for 38 years before retiring in 2003. Ron was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and camping. He was a member of First Christian Church where he had served as a Deacon. On July 30, 1966 he married Peggie Cross in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on September 23, 2009. SURVIVORS include his son, Richard “Dick” (fiancee’, Misty Beck) Nas of Muskegon and his sister, Barbara Yonkman of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons, Jeffrey and Mark Nas. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at First Christian Church (2755 Holton Rd.) with Dr. Robert Opperman officiating. Burial will take place in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210. MEMORIALS to the First Christian Church General Fund will be appreciated.
