Mr. Ronald P. Newald's Obituary
Mr. Ronald P. Newald, age 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Ronald was born in Muskegon on December 19, 1935 to Louis and Stephanie (Paulin) Newald and was a life resident of the area. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. Ron graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Education degree and worked as an Industrial Arts teacher for Muskegon Public Schools (Bunker Junior High) for over 30 years. He was an active life-member of Berean Church. He enjoyed spending time in his yard, golfing, hunting, fishing, reading and restoring old furniture. Most importantly, Ron was a loving husband and father and his main joy in life was his family and his Lord and Savior. On August 31, 1957, Ron married his sweetheart, the former Karen M. Kieft, at Berean Church in Muskegon and she survives him along with their children, Mark (Lila) Newald, Randy (Aileen) Newald, Kristi (Richard) Kozal and Kelly (Quinn) Barry; eight grandchildren, Eric, Melissa, Rebecca, Stephanie, Patrick, Andrea, Colleen and Maura; three great-grandchildren and three sisters, Betty (Norm) Eader, Shirley Rouse and Judy (Terry) Coburn. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:30 AM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Berean Church with Rev. Craig Apel officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday, January 23, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. MEMORIALS may be made to Berean Church. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery.
