Ronald Edward Parker's Obituary
Mr. Ronald E. Parker, age 80, passed away Tuesday evening, May 6, 2014, in Muskegon. He was born July 2, 1933 to John Cecil Parker and Margaret Sturgeon in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Ron attended Lincoln School through the 8th grade and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was the owner of Ron’s Auto Parts for 30 years before retiring. On December 12, 1953 Ron married Alice M. Roberts and she survives him along with 3 children, Ronald Parker, Jr. (Gerald) of Grand Rapids, Barry Parker of Muskegon and Debra (William) Parker-Hicks of Norton Shores; 3 grandchildren, Barry Parker, Jr., Ben Parker and Kyle Hicks; 2 brothers, Andrew (Nancy) Parker, James (Helen) Parker, both of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Patricia Asprey, John Parker, Frank Parker, Joyce Parker, Sharon Miller, Barb Bullard and Lucille Stanton. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, 49444, (231) 798-1100.
