Ronald Paul Schmuck Sr.'s Obituary
Ronald P. Schmuck Sr., age 83, passed away comfortably at home on Sunday, July 23, 2021. He was born November 24, 1939 in Shelby, MI to Vern and Stacia (Hammond) Schmuck. Ron was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. He worked for E.H. Sheldon and Co. for 18 years, 11 years for Wood Trucking, and 10 years for Prenger’s Jewelry. On February 4, 1961, he married the former Arlene Ward in Muskegon, and she preceded him in death on January 26, 2021. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and dirt track auto racing. He also liked to hunt and fish. But most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them. Ron is survived by two children: Ronald Paul (Paula) Schmuck Jr. and Debra Schmuck both of Muskegon; two grandchildren: Nicole (Ben) LeMieux and Nate (Caitlyn) Schmuck; three great-grandchildren: Owen and Della LeMieux, and Emma Schmuck; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Santos. Private family services will be held for Ron. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
