Ronald Ray Schultz's Obituary
Mr. Ronald Ray Schultz, age 94, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was born in Muskegon on September 14, 1921 to Edward A. and Rebbecca I. (Ault) Schultz and was the youngest of seven siblings. He attended Moon Elementary School and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1940. Ron worked as one of the original salesman for Coca Cola Company from 1936 – 1942 before joining the United Stated Marines. Ron served his country in the 3rd Division of the U.S. Marine Corps attaining the rank of Sergeant. After his service to his country, Ron returned to work at Coca Cola from 1945 – 1949. During this time, he enrolled at Muskegon Business College and graduated with a Business Administration degree in 1953. He began working as an accountant for Professional Management Company in 1951 and retired in 1988 as a financial manager. On July 28, 1979, Ron married the former Margaret Mae Grimm in Davison, Michigan. One of Ron and Peg’s favorite pastimes was riding their bikes. They traveled all over the United States, making it to all but two of the states, camping and biking. Ron also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing with his sons. Ron was an active member of McGraft Congregational Church and the Muskegon Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Peg; two children, Daniel (Cheryl) Schultz and Kevin (Julie) Schultz; five step-children, Dennis (Pamela) Kimmel, Darryl Kimmel, Diane (Michael Johns) Kimmel, Dori (Chuck) Cross and Derek (Daphne) Kimmel; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters. Ron’s MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Mark Nieuwsma officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to his service. MEMORIALS may be made to the McGraft Congregational Church Scholarship Fund in Memory of Ronald Schultz.
