Ronald Gene Smith age 60, of Coopersville, MI died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Mercy General Health Partners-Mercy Campus surrounded by his loving family.
Ron was born on November 17, 1949 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Herbert and Virginia (Martin) Smith. Ron married Linda Jean (Coalter) Smith on May 6, 2000 in Ravenna, Michigan.
Ron is survived by his wife: Linda J. Smith of Coopersville. 2 Sons: Robbie (Peggy) Wamser of North Muskegon and Ronnie (Stephanie) Smith of Comstock Park. 5 Daughters: Rhonda (Kevin) Darcy of Florida, Kesha (Toby) Baustert of Twin lake, Leslie (Donald) Spegelmyer of Florida, Krisha Pawlowski and Jerry McLaughlin of Traverse City and Trisha (Adam) Emery of Sparta. 16 grandchildren. 1 Brother: Herbert (Jayne) Smith Jr. of Ravenna. 1 Sister: Jan Price of Ohio.
Ron was preceded in death in addition to his parents by: 1 Daughter: Renee, 2 Brothers: Lon and Don Smith and 1 Sister: Shirley Smith.
Funeral services for Ron G. Smith will be conducted on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Rev. Don VanSlyke officiating. Burial will follow at Hilton Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends.
