Ronald Jay Vellenga age 74, of Muskegon, MI died Thursday, November 23, 2017 at home with his wife at his side. Ronald was born on January 11, 1943 in Muskegon, MI to the late Simon and Bessie (Hage) Vellenga. He married Jean Alic Read Obituary
Ron was a great grandfather to me my whole life, he was always there to offer his advice. He helped to develop my hard work ethic and faith in God. He was married to my late grandmother Linda Ruth Vellenga until her passing. He will be missed dearly.
I would like to send my deepest sympathy to Ron's family at this time. Ron and I grew up together and attended Moorland Church. I have pleasant memories of that time and having him as a friend. May his family take comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord.
My Thoughts and Prayers are with you today as you celebrate Ron's life. I shall miss seeing him and having Fun with him at the Antique Mall. I enjoyed working with him and the fact he was sheriff at Halloween last year. I also worked with his granddaughter many years ago. Please take care.
