Ronald V. Wolff's Obituary
Ronald V. Wolff, age 85, was reunited with the love of his life on Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was born May 12, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Evelyn Dibbert and stepfather, Charles Summers. Ron was a U.S. Army veteran and served in post WWII Europe and the Korean War. On May 11, 1957, he married the former Lorraine H. Habetler in Muskegon. He retired from HyLift, SPX and was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union for 33 years. He was a parish member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 60 years. Ron was also known as Loopo the clown and brought happiness and fun to children of all ages for over 50 years. He was active in the community as a member of the Knights of Columbus – Council 706, Disabled American Veterans, Catholic War Veterans, the American Legion, Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, the Pulaski Lodge PNA, the Polish Falcons of America, Tatra Hall – Branch 595, the Polka Melodies Booster Club, the Infamous Manhattan Club, and was also a UAW Retiree Board Member. SURVIVORS 4 children: Joe (Cindy) Wolff, Ron (Lisa) Wolff, Mary Wolff Deemer, Matt (Amy) Wolff; and three grandchildren: Erin Gibson, Shelby Wolff, and Nathan Deemer; dear sister, Marilyn Quigley; and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine on March 13, 2005; granddaughter, Angelica Marie Wolff; parents; three sisters; and four brothers. Many thanks to all of the angels at the Johnson Cancer Center, especially Ron’s nurse Cindy and Dr. Sipahi. The family would also like to thank Ron’s many care givers the past seven years, especially Denise, Kristie, and Steve. A FUNERAL MASS will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Norm Droski presiding. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Friday, July 28, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with the Rosary prayed at 5:00 PM. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Knights of Columbus – Council 706 Building Fund or the Muskegon Catholic Education Foundation will be appreciated.
