Ronald C. Hoff's Obituary
Mr. Ronald C. Hoff, age 77, passed away at home on Thursday, November 11, 2010. He was born on January 27, 1933 to Charles and Theresa (Klevering) Hoff in Muskegon. He was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church and was active over the years as an elder, deacon, Sunday school teacher, organized church softball league and enjoyed volunteering his time. Ron served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Era. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker in Engineering and Research for 26 years at Brunswick. He then started his own business called Meyers Machining. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, traveling, watching Detroit sports teams and doing yard work. He married his wife Ruthann Meyers of 56 years on July 10, 1954 in Muskegon and she survives him along with 4 children, Cyndi (Jeff) Franz of Holland, MI; Kathleen Sandgren of Muskegon; Ron (Liz) Hoff of Rockford and Phil Hoff of N. Muskegon; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters; sister, Charlotte Meloche of Muskegon and 1 sister-in-law, Judy Hoff of Rapid City, MI and special friends, Roger and Ellen Schmiedeknecht and Grace Todd. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ken Hoff and sister, Marilyn (Ray) Gelderloos. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM, Monday, November 15, 2010 at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church (1568 W. Giles Rd.) with Pastor Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please consider Laketon Bethel Reformed Church or Mercy V.N.S. Hospice. BURIAL will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery.
