Ronald Otto Berglund's Obituary
Ronald Otto Berglund, age 70, passed away very unexpectedly, Thursday, June 23, 2005. Ron was born December 16, 1934 in Muskegon to Roy and Gwendolyn (Ankerberg) Berglund. He lived most of his life in this area, having served his country during the Korean conflict in the U.S. Navy. Ron had worked 28 years at S. D. Warren as a quality assurance supervisor prior to his retirement in 1993. He had also worked as a branch manager for Seaboard Finance earlier on in his career. Ronald married the former Carol Wainwright (Bellanger) on January 11,1997 in Muskegon and she survives him. Ron enjoyed reading; boating and he especially loved fishing. He was a member of Muskegon Recreation Club, VFW Post #446, and the Independent Order of Vikings. Ron is SURVIVED by his wife, Carol; 8 children, Rhonda (Mark) Leep of Gun Lake, MI, Kim (Jerry) Kandalec of Muskegon, Brenda (Bob) Dale of Cherry Hill, NJ, Anita (Mike) Werner of Port Huron, MI, Dianne (Pierre) Crevier of Stevensville, MI, Joan Bellanger of Muskegon, Peggy (Jim) Scharmer, also of Muskegon, and Fred (Jena) Bellanger of Alpena, MI; 25 grandchildren, Morgan (John Halley) Leep and Chas (Natalie) Hibbard among them; a great granddaughter, Madeline Hibbard; 2 sisters, Marilyn Bekkering of Muskegon, and Nancy White of Beaver Island, MI; 2 Brothers, Thomas (Corinne) Berglund and Eddy Berglund, all of Muskegon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
