Ronna Lynne (Miner) Kennison's Obituary
Mrs. Ronna Lynne (Miner) Kennison, age 61, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born in Watertown, NY on February 29, 1960 to Ronald and Melba (Brown) Miner. Ronna was a nurse and had worked for SKLD Illuminate for over 20 years. She was a nature lover and especially enjoyed bird watching and gardening. She also enjoyed cooking and watching True Crime shows. Most importantly, Ronna adored her family. While on vacation, Ronna met and fell in love with a US Navy Sailor, Peter Kennison, stationed in Hawaii, and shortly thereafter they were married in Honolulu on November 24, 1979. Peter survives her along with their four children, Nathan Kennison, Brandon (Elizabeth) Kennison, Travis Kennison, and Haley Kennison; one granddaughter, Heidi and one grandchild due in January; twin sister, Robin (Rus) Kellar; and many nieces and nephews. Ronna was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lanny Miner, Perry Miner, Penny Cobb, and Todd Miner. A CELEBRATION OF RONNA’S LIFE will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 14, 2021 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. Muskegon, MI 49441. VISITATION with her family will be one hour prior to her service. In honor of Ronna’s love for animals, MEMORIALS in her memory may be directed to her niece’s foundation, Miner Menagerie Animal Rescue Sanctuary.
