Rose (Stratil) Kubicek's Obituary
Mrs. Rose (Stratil) Kubicek, age 86, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 at University Park Nursing Home. She was born September 4, 1919 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Helen (Slosar) Stratil. She moved to Rothbury when she was a child and lived there until her marriage to William Kubicek on March 5, 1937 when she moved to the Muskegon area where she has since resided. Rose enjoyed watching sports on television and she was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed fishing. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include her husband, William; 5 children, Marilyn (Charles) DeWolf of North Muskegon, Larry (Julie) Kubicek of Ravenna, Jerry (Connie) Kubicek of Lakeland, FL, Kathy (Richard) Jennings of Muskegon and Sueanne Kubicek of Flagstaff, AZ; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Charles Kubicek and James Kubicek, 2 daughters, Carol Florence and Patricia Kubicek, her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Mark Bauer, presiding. INTERMENT will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with the Kubicek Family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
