Rose Mary Frederick's Obituary
Rose Mary Frederick, 97, of Twin Lake, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1929, in Leelanau County, Maple City, MI to Charles and Kathryn (Pold) Miller Sr. She was married to Donald Frederick, Sr., in 1950 and lived in Twin Lake for 72 years. After her husband’s death, she worked at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for 23 years before retiring in 1991. She was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Mary of the Woods Chapel in Lakewood for many years. She enjoyed walking around Twin Lake. Rose Mary was very independent and stubborn in a positive way. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Kathryn Frederick; two sons, Donald (Janie) Frederick, Jr. and Walter (Christine) Frederick; six grandchildren, Erin Greene, Elizabeth Rose Frederick, Benjamin Frederick, Walter Frederick IV, Andrew Frederick and Scott Frederick; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Austin and Macy Greene and Hayley and Blaine Allsop. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles (Kathryn) Miller Sr.; husband, Donald Frederick, Sr.; daughter, Jackie Allsop; grandson, Steven Allsop; brother, Charles Miller, Jr.; and two sisters, Anna Paddock and Mary Louise Stuber. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at St. Mary of the Woods Chapel, 150 Church Rd., Twin Lake, MI 49457 with visitation one-hour prior at church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Rose Mary’s honor to St. Mary of the Woods Chapel in Lakewood.
