Rose E. Holman's Obituary
Rose E. Holman, age 83, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born January 22, 1941, in Grant, MI to Lyman and Eleanor (Kosten) Barnes. Rose graduated from Muskegon High School. She was very loving and generous and always welcoming to those who needed a place to stay. She enjoyed drinking tea, doing word searches, and had a great sense of humor. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Michelle Holman of Muskegon; five grandchildren: Britany VanOordt, Kaile Mason, Morgan VanOordt, Tyler Holman, and Madison Willett-Holman; five great-grandchildren: Alexis, Olivia, Gabriella, Luca, and Kyleigh; two sisters: Naomi Greinke of Grand Haven and Mary (Jack) Sternberg of Norton Shores; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dawn Dierck. Rose was preceded in death by two sons: Kirt and Mike Holman; great-granddaughters: Emmalynn and Hadley; and a brother, Frank “Ben” Barnes. According to Rose’s wishes, cremation will take place and private family services will be held.
