Rose Ann (Hopkins) Dobb's Obituary
Rose Ann (Hopkins) Dobb, age 68, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was born January 6, 1947 to Robert and Helen (Chapman) Hopkins in Muskegon. Rose was a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She worked for JC Penny for 35 years and in her retirement kept in touch with many of her fellow coworkers through monthly dinners and breakfasts. Rose enjoyed spending time at the Cabin in Fremont and playing Bunco. She loved spending time with her many nieces, nephews and extended family, never missing a single birthday. Rose is survived by her sister, Sandy (Don) Williams; brother, John Robert Hopkins; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rick Dobb; brother, Homer Hopkins; and sister, Diane Seeger. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Rose will be held at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church (4861 Henry St.) on October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place an hour prior to the services at church. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to look to either American Diabetes Association or Lake Harbor United Methodist Church for a donation in Rose’s name.
