Rose Marie McCaleb's Obituary
Rose Marie McCaleb, age 81, of Grand Haven, met her Savior face to face, on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born May 22, 1940, in Port Sheldon Township, MI to Henry Charles and Madeline Mary (Chevalier) Lyons. Rose married James Patrick “Jim” McCaleb on January 4, 1957, in Grand Haven, MI. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2021.
Rose was a devoted member of Lakeshore Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school. She previously worked at Heyboer Transformers, Lear Siegler Corporation and Lakeshore Floral. Rose was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved kids and animals. She also loved planting flowers, sewing and making clothing for charitable missions. Rose, also served as a Cub Scout den- mother when her sons were younger.
She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Brenda Krosnes, Teresa Reyes and Annette (Kevin) Shuff; two sons, Gary (Erin) McCaleb and Mark (Ruth) McCaleb; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Karen (Bud) Lawson and Patricia (Raymond) “Rip” Beebe; her brother, Gordon (Jean) Lyons; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Beebe; two brothers, Marshall Lyons (in the Korean War) and Dwayne Lyons.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, at Lakeshore Baptist Church with Pastor Nate Birkholz officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Lakeshore Baptist Church or Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
