Your mother was a lovely lady. I have many wonderful memories of her. Living next door to all of you in Danville enriched my life in so many ways. She will always be in my heart. My condolences to all of you.

Although I know we will be speaking soon, just had to leave a tribute to your beautiful mother.
She was one of the kindest souls I’ve ever known — an absolute gift to the world.
Remembering those cookies and treats at Christmas and how she and John always went out of their way to make us feel as if we were one of their children at family events. Always looked forward to seeing them both because it felt as if we were coming home.
John, Rose and I shared the gift of the rosary alongside Sally (Rich’s mother). In honor of Rose we will recite a rosary at 10:30, Monday in unison with others.

My condolences to the entire family on the loss of Rose. I read the summary of her life in the Commercial News Newspaper back here in Danville Illinois, where the family lived for 50 years. My late youngest brother, Mark, was a close friend of Rose's oldest son, Tom. Tom, Mark and another close friend of theirs, Joe Rainboth, met in our town's local High School, Schlarman High School, and maintained their amigo status through all the years. Rose led a successful and ambitious life with her family, and her partner in marriage, John. She had a lot to be proud of over a long life devoted to her family and others. It's good and encouraging to read the details of a life so happily and fruitfully lived. May Rose rest in peace. And may her Memory be a Blessing. John Shields
