Roseann "Rosie" Dake's Obituary
Mrs. Roseann “Rosie” Dake, age 69, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday morning, January 13, 2009 at Hackley VNS Hospice. Rosie was born March 13, 1939 to Irving G. and Jessie (Troop) McFarren in Ferry, MI, and lived almost all of her life in the Muskegon area. She had worked at University Park Nursing Home for 20 years before retiring, and attended Wolf Lake United Methodist Church. Rosie was preceded in death by her first husband, George W. Hammer. She married Arthur W. Dake on October 4, 1992 in Muskegon, and he survives her along with 2 brothers, Bruce (Guadalupe) McFarren of Ludington, Angus McFarren of CA; 1 sister, Pauline Guiltbault of Whitehall; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Nancy Byrd. She was also preceded in death by her sister Dolly Scouten, her twin-sister who died shortly after birth; 3 brothers, James, Dexter, and Irving McFarren. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at the Wolf Lake United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Bobby Cabot officiating. Burial will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service at church.
