Rosella "Rosie" Meekhof's Obituary
Rosella “Rosie” (Ten Brink) Meekhof, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. A loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, she will be deeply missed.
She was born in Muskegon, MI on June 26, 1926 to Thomas and Anna (Hoekstra) Ten Brink, who predeceased her along with her brother, Willard. Rosie married Andrew Meekhof in 1944. They had five children together: Andrea Jean Stowell (Michael), Linda Hicks, Kathy Fisher (Dave), John (Marilyn Hosko) and Jim (Diane Hunt). Also surviving her are 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. As well as many who called her “Grandma”; sister-in-law, Barb DeGraves and many nieces, nephews, friends and a loving “Family” at Christian Care Nursing Center, where she lived for 7 years.
Rosie was a life-long member of East Muskegon Christian Reformed Church until it closed in 1999. She then became a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church and the Mary Martha Circle. Rosie was also a T.O.P.S. member for many years.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Olivet Evangelical Free Church, 6790 Harvey Street, Spring Lake, MI 49456. VISITATION with the family will be 10:00 AM, prior to the service, followed by a light lunch.
CONTRIBUTIONS in lieu of flowers may be given to Tami Tufts-“Activities Department” at Christian Care Nursing Center will be greatly appreciated.
