Rose M. Potter's Obituary
Mrs. Rose M. Potter, passed away December 23, 2011 at Heartwood Lodge in Spring Lake. She was born on October 17, 1933 to Michael and Mary (Gulyban) Kish in Muskegon. Prior to 1997 she retired as a keypunch operator. Rose was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and loved to take care of her grandchildren. On April 5, 1952 she married Calvin Potter in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1980. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Michael (Nhung) Potter of Los Angeles, CA and Lori (Eric) Sumner of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Kyle Sumner, Anh Dao Vuong and My Linh Ly; sister, Betty Emlaw of Muskegon; other grandchildren she considered her own, Matthew, Andrew and Adam Ulfsax and Kaleigh, Anna and Leah Sumner; niece, Sandy and Rusty Potter and son, Gabe; special friends Mike and Jody Ulfsax and her exchange student, Trygve Mattiessen. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and a brother. MASS of CHIRSTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2011, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (Marian Chapel) with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Heartwood Lodge Hospice Home would be appreciated.
