Rosemarie E. Johnson's Obituary
Mrs. Rosemarie Eleanore Johnson, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Spring Lake on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was born in Muskegon on October 10, 1938 to Otto and Charlotte (Priebe) Remwolt. Rosie graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1956 and later graduated from Western Michigan University where she earned her Master of Education. She had worked for Mona Shores Public Schools for 33 years prior to her retirement. Rosie was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed staying active and involved in her community. She was a member and former officer of several organizations including the Delta Kapa Gama Teachers Sorority, Questers, and North Holiday Hills Book Club. At one time she co-owned an antique store and she volunteered for many years as a docent at the Muskegon Art Museum. Rosie was a season ticket holder of the Muskegon Symphony and she enjoyed spending time playing Mahjongg with her friends club. On June 12, 1959, Rosemarie married Warner A. Johnson Jr. in Muskegon and he survives her along with three children, Brenda K. Clifford, Kenneth W. Johnson, and Eric W. Johnson and three grandchildren, Ryan Clifford, Kyle Johnson, and Claire Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Ruth Olsen, Henry Remwolt, and Richard Remwolt. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 19, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
