I have so many quirky memories of a friend of more than 30 years. She brought people together & I am proud to have been one of her "angels".
I love you, kid.##imported-begin##Eleanor Natwick##imported-end##

My dear friend and Camp Bluebird roommate: I miss you so....sharing our cancer journey together. It was so much easier with your thoughts, prayers and input. Your spirit will continue to live on in my heart forever! Cyndie##imported-begin##Cyndie Collinge-Golab##imported-end##
I only had the privilege of knowing Roe for a few days at last summer's Reeling and Healing. I will always remember her friendliness to me and how she let me wear her special fly fishing hat! Roe' zest for life even in the midst of trial was truly amazing. May the Lord be close and comfort her family.

John,
Kendall Witherspoon shared Roe's obituary with me last week. Although I didn't know Roe well, I remember her contributing to a many memmorable Beach Bash celebrations. Sorry for your loss John. Toss a black beach stone into the deep water in her honor for me. Hope all is well.

I was introduced to Roe by a friend in common, Cheryl Rae Morgan, who once e-mailed a note to me: "I have a dear friend who will be visiting New Mexico next month. May I give her your address so you could share some tourist tips with her?"
That was a real beginning. It might have been less memorable had I not stranded Roe, her two traveling companions, my (late) husband and me on top of (10,800 ft) Sandia Peak just after dusk by running out of gas.
At the time it wasn't very funny, but came to be a running gag. I have two minature antique gas pumps and a small "Texaco" tin with a two dollar bill in it on my computer desk; gifts received from Roe over the next few years. On an anniversary of the event, I sent her a one-gallon plastic gas can with Albuquerque and Sandia Peak motifs decopauged all over it, including photos and pithy quotes.
A silly thing, but it bonded us forever. When she received her awful diagnosis, she asked me if I would join her band of "Angels." What a wonderful "flock" of women they are! It is a joy to be included in their ranks.
Roe is a spirit, a catylist, a woman who brought diverse types of people together. A tornado who left nothing but humor, love and understanding in her wake.
We'll meet again.##imported-begin##Sue "Sooz" Dovey##imported-end##

To Roe with great love and admiration. Remembering you eating your eggs by the river as you directed me to the middle to take a picture of your favorite piece of drift wood, your grand smile, and your undaunted caring for all around you. Live well in your next adventure. I will treasure the memories. xxoo Jane##imported-begin##Jane Rolf##imported-end##
