Rose Mary Hayes' Obituary
Rose Mary Hayes, age 71, of Grand Haven passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at a local care facility. She was born June 20, 1939, in Grand Rapids to Anthony “Bud” and Alma (Halpin) Engle.
Rose Mary was a certified nurses aid in the healthcare profession, and was last employed by North Ottawa Care Center. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Grand Haven. She enjoyed bible studies, spending time with her children and grandchildren, dancing, and watching the old classic movies on TV.
She is lovingly remembered by 3 daughters: Mary Rose Hayes of Cedar Springs, Peggy Lynn (Randall T.) Goodin of Rochester, New York, and Sue Ann Hayes of Holland; 1 son, Robert Dale (Rosanne M.) Hayes of Grand Haven; 4 grandchildren; her mother, Alma Engle of Muskegon; and 1 sister, Celeste (Paul) LaForest of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony “Bud” Engle, and her ex-husband Robert Earl Hayes.
The service for Rose Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Rose Mary to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Church or the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
