Rosemary and Larry were the first to welcome us to the neighborhood when we moved into our house in 2015 and we became fast friends. Rosemary was such a delight to spend time with and I will never forget when we both realized we had the same birthday. Our birthday fell on Mother’s Day in 2018 and I happened to go over for a visit the weekend before. At some point we started talking about Mother’s Day and how it was going to have to be shared with our birthday. However, when Rosemary said something about it having to be shared with the birthday, I thought she was talking about mine because however she had worded it, it was clear she was saying hers. Now I didn’t remember ever telling her when my birthday was but I thought I must have. Then of course I was conversing with her about sharing a birthday with Mother’s Day and apparently not indicating mine in particular because she thought I was talking about hers. Our conversation had to have gone on for at least five minutes before one us finally indicated we weren’t talking about the other and we realized we had the same birthday. I swear we laughed so hard we had tears in eyes when the realization hit that we were having two different conversations but basically about the same thing, our May 13 birthday. It was that same day that we also discovered we had the same middle name, not nearly as humorous though. We loved having Larry and Rosemary as neighbors and friends. And she loved having Thor come say hi to them on regular basis. He still goes over looking for both of them.
