Rosemary M. Sleak's Obituary
Rosemary M. Sleak, age 92, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 29, 2017. She was born July 4, 1925 in Ludington, MI to George and Mary (Korn) Ruby. On April 23, 1935, she married Ted J. Sleak and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1981. Rosemary had worked for Muskegon Piston Ring/Sealed Power Corporation and also the Brunswick Corporation for 34 years prior to retirement. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she had been active in the choir and Catholic Daughters. Rosemary also volunteered her time at the Red Cross, Hackley and Mercy Hospitals and at the Frauenthal Center. SURVIVORS include her sister, Ruth Ruby of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sophie Ruby. THE FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (239 W. Clay, Muskegon 49440) with the Rev. Fr. Edwin Carreno Carreno presiding. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, August 3, 2017 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565 with the Rosary prayed at 6:00 PM. Burial will take place at the Pere Marquette Cemetery in Ludington, MI.
