Rosiland M. "Linda" Emelander's Obituary
Rosiland M. “Linda” Emelander, age 70, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. She was born January 10, 1951 in Grand Rapids, MI to Thomas and Stella (Sagel) Mattingly. Linda was a 1969 graduate of the Marywood Academy and on June 29, 1973, she married Larry Emelander in Grand Rapids, MI. Linda worked as a librarian/media coordinator for Reeths-Puffer Intermediate School for 18 years prior to her retirement in 2010. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling the country with her husband. Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Larry; sons: Michael (Nicole) Emelander of Norton Shores and Daniel (Cristine) Emelander and their son, Liam of Houston, TX; 4 sisters: Bonnie (Jerry) Fish, Ruth Ann (John) Reidzans, Laura (Chuck) Zomberg, and Donna (Jeff) Janke; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Mattingly; and sister, Barb Simpson. A Memorial Service for Linda will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 23, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to Muskegon County Humane Society will be appreciated.
