Roxane M. Johnson's Obituary
Roxane M. Johnson, age 61, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1962, to Russell and Sandra (Youngs) Edwards in Muskegon, MI. In her earlier years, she went to Little Black Lake School and then attended Grand Haven High School. On August 14, 1982, she married the love of her life, Roger Johnson in Grand Haven. Together they cherished nearly 41 years full of endless love and laughter. Roxane dedicated over 21 years owning and operation Sparkling Clean by Rox, before working for Tyson’s for numerous years. She loved all things outdoors, whether she was fishing, hunting, kayaking or forging mushrooms in the woods. Roxane enjoyed traveling and enduring new experiences. She had a love for animals and truly enjoyed spending her time in the backyard feeding and watching the birds. Roxane was blessed with a green thumb and took pride in watching her plants and flowers flourish. She was known for her talented cooking abilities and loved to share her dishes hosting parties at her home. Roxane was known for hosting some of the best Christmas parties and making everyone feel at home. She was the life of the party and could easily fill a room with laughter. Above all, Roxane loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She had a generous heart and so much love to give. Her radiant smile and fun-loving personality will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Johnson; children, Cody (Chelsea Stark) Johnson and Rachel Johnson; grandchildren, Kodalyn “Bear”, Ruger “Boogs” and Luca “Cub”; mother, Sandra Edwards; brother, Robert (Kathy) Edwards; sisters, Barbara (Bob) Faith and Penny Edwards; best friends, Joy, Dawn and Julie; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Edwards; grandparents, George (Pauline) Youngs; and mother-in-law, Joyce Ellen Johnson. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with visitation one-hour prior. A Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8:00 PM on Monday, August 14, 2023, celebrating 41 years of Roxane and Roger, at the funeral home.
