Roxanne K. "Roxy" Hofstra's Obituary
Roxanne K. “Roxy” Hofstra, age 70, met her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 31, 1954, to Claude and JoAnne (Lundquist) Kramer in Muskegon, where she remained a lifelong resident.
Roxy graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1972. On February 21, 1976, she married the love of her life, Andrew Hofstra, at Covenant Community Church. Together, they shared 47 wonderful years filled with love and laughter.
Roxy had many passions in life, including traveling and solving word crosses. She was a true social butterfly, never meeting a stranger and always eager to make new friends. With a gift for gab, she brought joy to everyone around her. Roxy’s generosity knew no bounds—she was always willing to put the needs of others above her own. Known for her sass, determination, and thoughtfulness, Roxy’s love for her family was unwavering and unconditional.
Above all, Roxy cherished her role as a wife, mother, and Nana. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she doted on them with all her heart. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Roxy is survived by her loving husband, Andy Hofstra; two daughters, Katie (Joe) Correll and Sarah (Eric) Wadland; five grandchildren, Kiron Correll, Oliver Correll, Thomas Wadland, Paul Wadland and Micheal Wadland; three sisters, Claudia (Mark) Langlois, Marcia Wainwright and Paula (Randy) Mosley; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karen (Jim) Graves; and brother-in-law, Jack Wainwright. A Celebration of Roxy’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A Visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior at the funeral home. Share memories with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.
