Roy Rafferty's Obituary
Mr. Roy Rafferty, age 80, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at a local nursing home. Mr. Rafferty was born on March 2, 1927 to Alphonsus and Mary (McMahon) Rafferty in Muskegon and was a life resident of the area. He had been employed by The Norge and then by Neway, Inc. before retiring in 1992. Roy was a lifetime member of the Lakeside Eagles and an avid outdoorsman and gardener. On February 8, 1958 he married the former Marilyn Crow and she survives him along with 7 children, Richard (Suzanne) Rafferty, Linda (Daniel) Bates, Merry Matthews, Dennis (Gina) Brown, Debbie Brown (Dale Kieft), Steven Rafferty and Dawn Rafferty (Wayne Rife); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Al “Brub” (Barb) Rafferty and special friend, Bud Gifford. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and special friend, Al Young. A MEMORIAL GATHERING for friends and family will take place from 3-5 PM Sunday, March 2 at
