Roy L. Vekved's Obituary
Roy Lane Vekved, age 48, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 30, 2018. He was born September 18, 1969 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Roy and Lois (Vekved) Wilber. Roy was an OTR commercial truck driver and also drove school bus for Muskegon Public Schools. He was a proud supporter of the Salvation Army, enjoyed fishing, target shooting, and playing on his computer. But most all, he enjoyed spending time with his two sons. SURVIVORS include his fiancée, Anne; 2 sons: Robert and Nathan Vekved; father, Roy Lane Wilber of Muskegon; mother, Lois Vekved of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 2 brothers: Steven Wilber of Arizona, James (Heather) Wilber of North Carolina; god-daughter, Kaylee Curtis of Minneapolis, Minnesota; several nieces, nephews, and special loved ones; and his faithful feline friend, Chaps. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Roy will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 6, 2018 at The Salvation Army, 1221 Shonat St., Muskegon, MI 49442, with Major Dan Sawka officiating. Memorials to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (lls.org) will be appreciated.
