Royce L. Ryder's Obituary
Mr. Royce L. Ryder, age 78, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 9, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born August 16, 1927 to Roy C. and Martha M. (Paulsen) Ryder in Fountain, MI, and lived in Muskegon since 1950 before moving to the Whitehall area in 1979. Royce was a fireman for the City of Muskegon for 32 years, retiring in 1984, and was a longtime member of Central Assembly of God where he served on the deacon board for several years. He also enjoyed hunting with his sons, and wood working. On August 5, 1950 Royce married Eleanor “Ellie” Binns in Hesperia. SURVIVORS include his wife Ellie; 5 children, Karen L. (Gary) Broton of Whitehall, Eileen K. (Art) Adkins of Muskegon, Mark A. Ryder of Twin Lake, Brian S. (Kathy) Ryder of Muskegon, Sharon B. (Dewayne) Davison of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Frank (Marie) Hansen of Fremont; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Central Assembly of God, 896 Home St., with Dr. Gordon Aikin and Pastor Lowell Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
