Roy W. Perry's Obituary
Mr. Roy W. Perry, age 69, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 in Muskegon. He was born October 20, 1938 in Ithaca, MI to Ford “Bud” and Lila (McCarn) Perry and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. On January 6, 1962, Roy married the former Carolyn A. Keillor in Muskegon and she survives him. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he worked as a machinist for 38 years at Hy-Lift Division. He was very active with the Oakridge Senior Ealges. SURVIVORS include his wife, Carolyn; 3 children, Sandra Perry of Muskegon, Brad Perry of Orlando, FL, and Maria Cardinal of Muskegon; 4 granddaughters, Amber (Brian) Lawrence, Amanda Cardinal, Devon Cardinal, and Shelby Cardinal all of Muskegon; 3 great-grandchildren, Mikel and Maylee Cardinal and Taylynn Lawrence; 1 sister, Arlene (Jerry) Schaner of Hesperia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Cpl. Anthony O. Cardinal, killed during active combat patrol in Iraq on Christmas Day, 2005. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 29, 2008 at Kainay Community Church.
