Mrs. Ruby L. Ward's Obituary
Mrs. Ruby L. Ward, age 78, passed away Tuesday evening, December 11, 2012. She was born July 31, 1934 in Sterling, IL to William and Frances (Maxim) Yarbrough. Mrs. Ward was a self-employed nurse’s aide for many years. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she belonged to the Altar Guild and the E.L.C.W. On July 6, 1951 she married George S. Ward in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 1982. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Charles Steven (Sharon) Ward of Twin Lake, Cathy L. Hill (Rick) of Ravenna, Connie Frances (Walter) Bird of Cloverville; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Jeanette) Yarbrough of Fruitport; brother-in-law, Efren Valasquez of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Lynne Weinrick; 2 brothers, Howard James and Ray Eugene Yarbrough; twin sister, Ruth Valasquez; and sister, Verle Johnson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Julie Winklepleck officiating. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery.
